Val McAldin prepares for the big jump

Val McAldin who works in Shoefare, Market Square Lisburn, is preparing for a charity Parachute Jump in aid of Bright Eyes animal sanctuary.

When Lisburn Life met up with Val recently she was very excited to be involved with Bright Eyes. Val explains “I just adore animals, I have 3 cats of my own, so obviously animals are very close to my heart. Having raised money before by abseiling down the Europa Hotel in Belfast, I was keen to go all out this time and do a parachute jump.

At first I wasn’t sure which animal charity I was going to choose as there are so many, but something I liked about Bright Eyes was the fact that they cover all aspects of animal welfare”.

The Jump will take place on 30th May 2010. If you would like to sponsor Val for her charity jump, you can call into Shoefare, Bow Street, Lisburn, and give what you can afford.

At Friday night’s dazzling Fate Awards in association with Diet Coke, The Plough and Bar Retro joined the crème of the Northern Ireland hospitality and entertainment industry and were recognised as one of 22 winners who walked away with coveted Fate awards.

Peter Mark and AutismNI Lisburn Branch would like to thank the clients who made their recent fund raising day such a success.
